Kilchrenan House Hotel an elegant Victorian era building from 1883 and is a well known Oban Landmark. We were contacted by the owner, who after reading our reviews and doing a lot of research decided that we were the perfect company to completely overhaul the hotels roof. This was our second biggest job to date, and although the project was completed January 2021, we are sIll up in Oban working on other projects that were awarded to us on the merit of completing this job, if you walk along Oban esplanade today you will see 10 new slate roofing other looking the beautiful bay, all completed by the team at Fort Roofing.
To say this was a big job is an understatement, but at Fort Roofing we love a challenge and we were more than up to the job.
Over many years on the bitter, wind swept, west coast of Scotland, the roof had deteriorated considerably, resulting in leaks and dampness buildup in various parts of the roof.
We first visited the site to carry out a full survey over the course of 2 days and then submitted a proposal to the owner. This outlined the complete job in detail and contained a break down of costs. After reviewing this the customer was more than happy to go proceed.
