Slate Roof in Bearsden…

It is with great pleasure that I write this review for Fort Roofing Scotland. I would like Gavin and his professional, hardworking, conscientious and courteous team to know how much appreciation I have for the beautiful work they did on the total replacement of the slate roof on my house.

From the very first meeting to discuss the job and obtain an initial quotation ( so as to compare with the other three roofers I had spoken to) I was impressed with Gavin’s knowledge and honesty. He listened to all my questions and answered everything in terms I could understand. There was never a hard sell element, he’s totally professional, a roofer, not a sales man.

I could see that all materials used were only of the finest quality, there was never any corner cutting, in fact if anything he went the extra mile. An example of Gavin’s attention to detail was that upon noticing that the wood at the eaves edge was rotten, he took it upon himself to replace them, even painting them to match in with the existing colour of the house at no additional cost.

All debris was hauled away and the back and front garden area left clean and tidy, as if they were never there. (Special shout out to Val).
The roof on my home, which is over 100 years old, looks as good as the day it was built.
It was a major job and a huge decision for me to make.
So, when it came to choosing a roofer, I could not be happier that I picked the perfect one.
I would highly recommend Fort Roofing Scotland, Gavin and his fine team to anyone who needs roofing repairs.

Gavin and his team recently replaced the guttering in the house.
They were here when they said they would be. Good price and
the work was done to a high standard!

Project Breakdown

The Problem

This customer contacted Fort Roofing as she was experiencing water and dampness in her house. The customer was worried because it was an old house with a slate roof and wasn’t sure about a full replacement and she wanted the property to look just as good with the new slate roof.

The Solution

We striped the roof right back to the bare timbers. Replaced a few rotten roof panels then we would install our Marley weather proof underlay. Lined with beams we then got to work on adding the new roof tiles to the house. I think you’ll agree that the outcome is perfection.
